Reports To: VP of Engineering

Job Summary:

This role will collaborate with the Engineering Team in the development, deployment, and improvement of products being created for next generation systems.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Development and implementation of electronic hardware for developing products

Support production and field troubleshooting, and field hardware updates including compatibility

Select hardware components including microcontrollers and processors as well as analog components

Implement hardware designs to satisfy a diverse design constraint (e.g., design for cost, design for performance, design for manufacture, etc.)

Work closely with other team members, including those of other departments

Maintain revision control of hardware deployments

Provide documentation in written form as a project(s) require of hardware architecture, performance, user operation, system integration

Other duties as assigned

Education, Certifications & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering field (or equivalent proven experience), required. Master’s preferred.

Five or more years of experience (required) in electronic circuit design, with knowledge of:

  • Schematics
  • PCB design rules
  • Hardware testing/validation
  • Reliability and environmental robustness

Must have a can-do attitude and a willingness to help

Experience in an electronics manufacturing environment preferred

Must have above average MS Office skills

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Ability to solder and assemble hardware

Understanding of both digital and analog signal hardware

Previous experience in IoT product development.

Experience with PBC layout software and schematic simulation tools

Must have strong problem-solving skills and a desire to create solutions.

Must have demonstrated and effective interpersonal, oral and written communication skills in English with the ability to professionally interact with internal and external customers; respond to common inquiries.

Ability to write correspondence that conforms to prescribed style and format.

Ability to establish and maintain rapport and effective communication with diverse levels within company.

Prior experience working under tight deadlines with shifting priorities.

Must have the ability to work in sensitive and very confidential situations.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions with ability to deal with abstract and concrete variables.

The work described while working in the plant or field will require wearing all PPE depending on circumstance which may include safety glasses, hard hat, ear protection, leather gloves, safety vest and steel toed footwear.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
