Job Description

Hamilton Company is seeking an "Electro Mechanical Technician" to assemble semi-automated equipment used for precision fluid measuring and operator testing. We're looking for those trained in, or have experience with, electronic/electrical machines or fine mechanism service or assembly. Electro Mechanical Technician will have the chance to work in a fast-paced environment on industry leading equipment with cutting edge technology.

Other Electro Mechanical Technician responsibilities include:

  • Assemble simple to sophisticated laboratory fluid handling equipment and robots
  • Use of common test equipment, including voltmeters and specific product testers
  • Work in a production environment assembling mechanical laboratory devices
  • Requires excellent hand-eye coordination, attention to detail, high efficiency, and ability to follow process instructions
  • Use of hand tools, tweezers, and other light machinery
  • Assemble equipment according to blueprint and schematics correctly

Qualifications

  • Ability to work accurately in a fast paced environment to meet quality and quantity quotas
  • Experience using diagrams or blueprints, and follow other written or verbal instructions
  • Mechanically inclined with good dexterity - able to use both hand and power tools
  • Able to quality check finished product and send unsatisfactory items to rework
  • Proven experience with safe production standards
  • Stable work history
  • Basic math may be required for computing quantities and simple addition and subtraction for counting parts
  • Requires excellent manual dexterity, ability to work with small components and hand tools, and a keen eye for detail and quality
  • Must be able to read and follow detailed manufacturing instructions

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 1 2 years experience in assembly and testing of small electro mechanical assemblies
  • Technical Certificate and/or LEAP or CTE Program Completion Preferred
  • Prior assembly or operator experience preferred
