Electrician

Job Summary:

Perform electrical maintenance and trouble shooting duties associated with electrical equipment. Work closely with plant process and maintenance teams to resolve any issues encountered

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform trouble shooting maintenance duties on electrical systems
• Schedule and perform preventative maintenance on instruments and electrical equipment
• Communicate with plant management day to day on maintenance issues
• Interact with USDA as required
• Understand and interpret company, industry, state and federal regulations
• Follow all OSHA safety regulations and procedures
• Manager controls technician team and assign work responsibilities
• Assist in managing employee performance, training, meetings, and work with human resources, as appropriate
• Perform other tasks as assigned
• On call responsibility

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Required:

• Master Electrician certification or ability to obtain
• In depth knowledge and understanding of electrical systems
• Ability to troubleshoot computer related problems.
• Ability to read and understand electrical diagrams
• Knowledge of basic chemical usage and safety
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to read, understand and effectively communicate information
• Attention to detail
• Independent Self Starter/Team Player
• Mathematical skills: General Arithmetic/Basic algebra/Percentages/Fractions
• Computer Skills: Word, Excel, Access Outlook, and Internet
• On call duties to include nights and weekends
• Advanced English: fluent: speaking, reading and writing

Preferred:

• 2 years’ supervisory experience

• Visual basic or similar
