Job Description
Job Summary
The Electrical Engineering Intern will perform duties related to the development of AC and DC power conversion hardware at the system and circuit level, during the product development cycle. The focus for this assignment will be on a new design and release new product family of AC or DC source. Tasks will be to create, develop, evaluate, simulate, and debug circuits for brand new technology like bi-directional DFC, CLLC resonant switching. New design to reduce cost of product, reduce number of single source components and increase reliability of the product.



Roles & Responsibilities
This position has responsibility for:
  • Thermal analysis and thermal evaluation
  • Design verification tests of new circuits
  • Testing and Modulation of new circuits
  • Build and test of customer system according to customer specifications and requirements.

Position Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications (Experience and Skills)
  • Junior or Senior year studying Electrical Engineering.
  • Must be a US Citizen or Green card holder for ITAR compliance.
  • Must be able to commit 20 hours per week during the school year.
  • Fast learning. capability of learning avionics and military standards.
  • Proficient in common engineering design tools, such as simulation software, mathematical analysis, schematic capture, MS Excel/Word, and database applications.
  • Good interpersonal skills, written and oral communication skills, and ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
  • Good organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask effectively and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications
Relevant experience in the design of analog and digital electronics a plus
  • Previous Intern positions is helpful.
  • Experience with PC-based development tools and firmware (C, C++, Visual Basic) for microcontrollers, DSPs, and user interface (data communications, GUIs).
  • Knowledge with PWB layout software.

Education Requirements
Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office and manufacturing environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.
