RER Solutions, Inc, a Federal Government Contracting organization, is an Equal Opportunity Employer and is accepting resumes for an EEO Specialist to work with our team on various private military housing inspection projects in the Washington DC Metro area.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Handle EEO complaints from the informal stage to the resolution stage
- Ensure that witnesses are given advance notice prior to being contacted by the EEO counselor
- Review draft Counselor’s Reports before they are finalized
- Assist with setting up mediations for Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR)
- Help develop Investigation Plans and document request list
- Obtain documentation from FHFA Offices/Divisions and appropriate witnesses when necessary
- Review and redact documentation prior to external submission to ensure the safeguarding of PII and the production of relevant information
- Protect electronic documents sent outside the Agency with passwords or encryption, as appropriate
- Provide advance notice to witnesses before they are contacted by an investigator
- Coordinate the participation of required parties and witnesses for interviews
- Review Report of Investigations (ROI) for legal sufficiency and EEOC Compliance
- Sanitize the full ROI when needed to protect the privacy of sensitive information and PII.
- Prepare initial drafts of acceptance/dismissal letters and general case-related correspondence
- Perform legal research, and data collection/organization for EEO reports
- Maintain case files, input relevant case information into an electronic database system/shared drive
- Monitor deadlines and track case status to ensure compliance with EEOC timeframes
- Draft and/or review Final Agency Decisions
- Attend OEOF staff meetings and be required to perform basic administrative support, such as photocopying and scanning
- Assist with logistics for training presentations, including compiling training materials
- Provide regular updates to the Senior EEO Specialist and/or EEO Director regarding case status and matters that are suitable for ADR, and Harassment intervention
QUALIFICATION
- Minimum of US Citizenship required to obtain agency issued Public Trust
- Prior attendance at EEO training which may include the Rehabilitation Act, ADA, ADAAA, GINA, Retaliation, Harassment, LGBT matters, and Religious Accommodations, FDR or EXCEL conferences
- Demonstrated knowledge of Federal EEO principles, laws, regulations, policies, and relevant decisions, to recognize relevant issues and to analyze complaint cases
- A minimum of 3 years of experience processing complaints under 29 CFR section 1614 complaint procedures and EEOC Management Directive110 regulations
- 5 years of similar work experience in a Civil Rights/EEO/HR/ER office or employment law firm
- Skill in fact finding analysis, and problem solving
- Experience conducting meetings with employees and management to obtain necessary results when the interests and/or emotions of the parties may not be aligned
- The ability to distinguish between EEO and non-EEO issues
- The ability to use an electronic tracking system for managing cases
- Demonstrated experience safeguarding confidential information and documentation
- Similar work experience in a federal government setting or financial regulatory institution
- Experience reviewing ROIs
- Experienced drafting Final Agency Decisions
- Basic knowledge of SharePoint and Excel
