Established in 1975, the hospital has been serving Houston for more than 40 years. It provides a wide range of medical services, including cardiology, bariatrics, orthopedics, neurology, emergency care and more. The hospital is affiliated with HCA Houston Healthcare, part of the HCA Healthcare Gulf Coast Division. The division is a comprehensive network of hospitals, outpatient surgery centers, emergency centers and diagnostic imaging facilities in greater Houston, Corpus Christi and South Texas. Facilities include: 17 hospitals, nine ambulatory care centers, 13 off-campus emergency centers, and a regional transfer center. What you would do in this role:

  • Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards.

  • Performs electrocardiograph examinations and other test as ordered.

  • Performs electrocardiograph examinations and other test as ordered.

  • Reviews and evaluates completed test for quality, completeness, and type of test ordered; ensures quality images.

  • Submits all Cardiology Department studies to physician for interpretation; types and files interpretations.

  • Obtains patient history, answers patient questions, and explains procedures.

  • Performs tests with portable equipment in patient room when necessary

Qualifications

What qualifications you will need:
  • ARDMS registered is required.
  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support course (BLS or BCLS) and certification is required.
  • 2 years of hospital experience is preferred.
