Driver

Seeking dependable and experienced box truck Route Drivers / Movers for area Appliance Recycling Program serving public utility customers. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering superior customer service.

Reporting to Detroit MI Dispatch office, Route Drivers / Movers work as a two (2) man crew with a Route Assistant / Loader - follow a predetermined route, safely remove Refrigerators and Freezers from the residence, disassemble as necessary, load items using a lift gate, secure the load, and delivery to the local recycling center.Drivers must have a outgoing personality, professional appearance, emotional maturity, and a track record of delivering stellar customer service. Crews must be team players, relate well with customers, communicate effectively with program staff, and make recommendations to improve the process.Full time positions available, offer the following:

• Route Driver per piece average pay ($8.00 per unit ) starting from from $800 to $900 per week
• Route Driver Starting per piece rate ($9.00 per unit ) after 120 days from $900 to $1, 000 per week
• Route Driver Starting per piece rate ($9.50 per unit ) after 1 year from $550 to $1, 050 per week
• Schedule: 5 day work weeks, Either Mont to Friday OR Tues to Sat
• $80 per day for training;
• Bare minimum $560 per week
• One (1) week vacation after a year
• One week paid holidays after 90 days.
• Branded Company issued branded uniform shirts.
• Drivers are expected to supply black uniform pants and work boot (steel toe preferred)

Do you have what it takes?

• Meet the physical demands of moving large residential appliances, mainly refrigerators and freezers.
• Route Drivers must have Valid Chauffeur' s License and a acceptable driving record for at least the last 7 years.
• Customer Service experience, preferable in delivery or pick-up route, from residential customers, furniture/appliances.
• Experience operating a box truck with lift gate, and at least a 26 foot truck preferred
• The ability to pass a felony criminal background investigation, with no major convictions
• Pass DOT level drug screening and physical

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience delivery or pick up experience with appliances or large furniture, preferred.
