Responsibilities:

Working across our division - including hospitals, physician practices, urgent care centers, and service lines - the Director of Digital Strategy and Content is responsible for evaluating strategic opportunities to support marketing and operations goals through the curation, development, management and distribution of content that will increase engage key audiences across digital and traditional platforms.

  • Using data-driven research, develop content strategies within the patient journey for each identified key audience including best channel mix, type of content and key-performance indicators
  • Writing strategic content for:
    • websites,
    • social media,
    • digital marketing,
    • content marketing,
    • native advertising,
    • E-Mail marketing
    • traditional marketing (print, billboard, direct mail, etc.)
  • Developing and executing strategies for digital marketing initiatives, including email marketing and social media
  • Collaborating with creative services and marketing to develop creative and written campaign components
  • Writing ad copy for traditional and digital advertisements
  • Writing, filming, editing and distributing video content for internal and external audiences
  • Evaluating content and channel mix and optimizing strategy and message, as needed
  • Measuring content ROI and campaign performance
  • Creating economies of scale and efficiencies by repurposing content for a complex system
  • Managing content strategy and copywriting vendors, freelancers and agencies, as needed
  • Working with corporate content team in sharing of best practices and coordinating content development and management opportunities wherever appropriate
  • Following and enforcing branding and identity guidelines for all MidAmerica Division hospitals.
  • Maintains a good working relationship with leadership, consultants, vendors and hospital personnel.

Qualifications

  • Four-year college degree in marketing, communications, journalism, English or closely related field required.
  • 3+ years’ experience in digital marketing (corporate or agency); and 5+ years in position requiring writing and editing experience. Healthcare experience is preferred, but not required.

HCA MidAmerica division consists of 12 hospitals in Missouri, Kansas and Louisiana. This position will be located in the division offices in Kansas City.
