Position Overview:

Performs administrative duties of one or more warehouse clerical function of order entry, shipping, and/or receiving clerk. Under general supervision, performs clerical work in relation to order entry for shipping orders from warehoused inventory. Employee is responsible for interpreting and entering data related to shipping orders, both into and out of multiple warehouse locations, verifying entries, calculating measurements and verifying items in the WMS System, as well as other related duties. Work requires extensive data entry, excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook Email Client, ability to operate office machines, general office work such as scanning, filing, and copying documents. Ideal candidate will possess a strong ability to multi task.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Prints and interprets data from multiple formats for entry into WMS using computer programs as required.
  • Prepares inbound and outbound shipments for processing by warehouse personnel.
  • Performs other related work as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduation from high school
  • General clerical experience
  • Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • Warehousing experience is a must.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • General knowledge of the customer service etiquette. Strong computer skills, with the ability to move smoothly between applications, such as email, WMS and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • General knowledge of terminology used within the department.
  • General knowledge of modern office practices and procedures.
  • Some knowledge of standard established bookkeeping principles.
  • Ability to use common office machines including calculators and popular computer?driven word processing, spreadsheet and file maintenance programs.
  • Ability to maintain clerical records and to compile reports from them.
  • Ability to verify documents and forms for accuracy and completeness.
  • Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
  • Ability to exercise tact and courtesy in frequent contact with customers.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships as necessitated by work assignments.
