We are looking for a* Distribution Planner* to join our team at our North American Headquarters in Carlsbad, CA. Must have knowledge of Supply Chain and logistics processes and have a passion for providing excellent customer service.

WHAT YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE*
The Distribution Planner is responsible for collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to manage inventory levels to meet service level goals and objectives. This role is responsible for ensuring we have the proper inventory levels at each of our North America Distribution Centers. Additionally, you will:

Plan and coordinate product distribution activities by DC.

  • Monitor inventory levels by DC, realign as needed coordinating with stakeholders
  • Monitor open Purchase Orders and work with Operations partners to realign deliveries by DC to maintain a balanced inventory level and create order fulfillment efficiencies.
  • Work with Supply Chain teams to mitigate shortages and excess inventory by DC
  • Analyze and resolve delivery issues in a timely manner
  • Review and recommend improvements to current product distribution parameters and execute changes
  • Assist in risk assessment and mitigation activities
  • Propose cost reduction initiatives while maintaining proper inventory levels by DC
  • Stay informed of sales initiatives and marketing promotions
  • Clear communication to management on root cause analysis on metric misses
  • Establish KPI’s for the department with input from management
  • Responsible for providing reports as needed
  • Closely work with Freight Forwarders for efficient deliveries and synchronization

WHAT WE SEEK

3+ years’ experience in a Supply Chain environment

  • Knowledge of Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) process and Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP) process - Oracle or equivalent
  • Have a working knowledge of the international traffic and logistics processes
  • Polished and professional communication skills (verbal, written, and phone).
  • Positive attitude, willingness to learn and self-motivated.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment, have sense of urgency, efficient and ability to adapt and multi-task.
  • Excellent problem solving, decision making, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational, communication and time management skills.
  • Ability to work as a team member or independently; self-motivated and proactive.
  • Must have basic knowledge and usage of computers, MS Office software and email software.

Education*:
College degree or equivalent experience, advance training or education preferred
Previous experience in a field related to logistics or purchasing
