SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Provide system and business process expertise in the application, development and adherence to Consumer & B2B SAP r/3 order fulfillment, WMS productivity reporting and shipping/receiving functions, which includes standard work development and connected checking.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Provide system and process knowledge in development of new standard work for r/3 order fulfillment to include shipping and receiving, flow planning, constraint management and Mill Customer service/Transportation.
  • Provide thorough testing of new systems and ensuring successful integration with both r/3 order fulfillment, WMS and other related processes.
  • Monitor DOT standard work to ensure properly adhered to. Manage efforts to develop and document standard work.
  • Ensure process, tools, and training documentation are maintained as business processes and tools evolve. Ensure desktop specific documentation exists for use in position transitions.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve current business processes and solve business issues. Provide a DOT perspective in creating efficient, effective solutions.
  • Ensure application of established corporate financial controls within incumbent’s areas of responsibility, and support operating management direction to implement and maintain financial policies, instructions, and internal control procedures.
  • Develop LEAN capability at a personal and team level within the DOT and broader distribution operations level.

  • Ability to proficiently use and perform key functions of Microsoft Excel software program.
  • Ability to travel via aircraft(s) and operate and drive motor vehicle(s) for business travel(s), with valid driver license.

DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC/NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
  • Motivate, coach, and provide performance feedback to enhance individual and team effectiveness for DOT team members.
  • Strategically organize and develop quarterly and annual plans to drive weekly and monthly prioritizations of key development activities and projects to achieve exceptional management of business operations.
  • Create respectful environment among team members, and motivate improvement of individuals and team performances to achieve desired business results.
  • Maintain effectiveness of varying environments with different tasks, responsibilities and people.
  • Set priorities and strategically identify issues, underlying problems and potential solutions to develop plan of action.
  • Render judgments and make timely decisions in alignment with business objectives, strategies and tactics.
  • Promptly reconcile and communicate changes in plans and programs, conditions, requirements of marketplace, competitive activities, issues and accomplishments that may affect results to various levels of staff.
  • Conduct team adjustments to new changes, and adjust to meet requirements of changing conditions/situations.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education required:
  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree.

Experience:
  • Requires 1-3 years of SAP r/3 and Distribution Operations experience, preferably with detailed WMS exposure.
  • Experience with project management techniques and a demonstrated ability to perform in a team environment.

Preferred Experience/Qualifications:
  • Practice exceptional customer service and broad knowledge of corporate transportation is advantageous.
  • Proficient in data access tools and PC based applications (Windows, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

Skills/Competencies:
  • Results and strategy oriented, leadership, exceptional oral and written communication, analytical, trouble shooting, change management, project and risk management and building relationships.

Other Skills:
  • Prioritization and time management, resources and team management, active listening, adaptability and interpersonal.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:

Reports to Distribution Manager 3.

SCOPE OF POSITION:
  • Provide technical expertise necessary to support r/3 order fulfillment, shipping/receiving, flow planning, mill customer service/transportation functions.
  • Develop, evaluate, and recommend improvements to DOT processes, along with quantification of financial and operational impacts. Interact with various levels of team members within Kimberly-Clark.
  • The incumbent must be capable of leading multifunctional teams assigned to specific projects.
  • Key customers include Consumer, Healthcare, and KCP Business units-mills/plants/staff, Forecast to Stock COE, Sourcing & Supply ,Planners, DOT managers and analysts, Customer Service Operations, Corporate Transportation and ITS.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Travel may include approximately 25% of work time. Travel may also include travel via aircrafts and motor vehicles to various locations, if applicable. Varying working conditions may include prolonged sitting, typing and viewing computer/laptop screens, along with occasional bending, reaching, lifting, carrying, climbing, twisting, stooping, walking and standing.
