JOB SUMMARY

The purpose of this position is to provide Disaster Recovery Project Management for large-scale corporate property portfolio within multi-region banking and finance facility clientele with a focus on critical environments and supporting infrastructure.

Duration: Short term: 6months to 1 year; may be longer

Location: New York, NY is the preferred location for the role; some work can be done remotely

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Support SDM RSM to manage the recovery sites in the Americas. This included project-related activity, supporting changes to the existing portfolio of RSM sites and manage day to day operations for the three Metro area facilities. This may include demand analysis, business stakeholder engagement, vendor engagement, working group contributions, preparation of presentation materials and assistance/oversight on implementations.Program/project activity will vary depending on site location, but may include site restacks, site downsize/restructuring, site exits and new site implementations.
Provide facilitation, coordination and management support to the clients/businesses of RSM (Recovery Site Management) program.
Prepare, maintain and update (as and when required) site guide and other site-based documentation (including but not limited to, procedures, guidelines, standard operating instructions and country seat allocation master file) for the safe and effective use and utilization of the clients’ recovery site portfolio.
Actively contribute to and support the delivery of the Recovery Site program in accordance with client expectations and the direction of the Client Service Delivery Manager for RSM.
Develop and prepare reports and analysis summarizing the status and condition of Recovery Sites throughout the America’s region.
Liaise with and assist the Corporate Services team and applicable SDM (Service Delivery Managers) to integrate the Recovery Site portfolio within the wider CS managed portfolio of sites and properties.
Facilitate, conduct, coordinate and record stakeholder group meetings and other collaboration activities in support of the RSM program.
Work with the SDM for RSM to design and deliver the RS (Annual BRST) readiness testing and assurance program.
Support the SDM RSM where required and appropriate (i.e. to cover for planned and unplanned absences / overlapping commitments and business travel events etc.).
Responsible to lead and coordinate with wider CBRE team for all facilities/engineering related activities.
Ensure effective execution of the RSM mandate and mission.
Integrate effectively with the wider CBRE Facilities Management team to ensure the activities of both the RSM team and wider FM delivery teams are coordinated and aligned for the benefit for both CBRE and the clients’ operational requirements.

Leads cross-functional projects and programs end-to-end using a formal PMO process.

Facilitates the development of a charter and integrated timeline. Ensures all functions remain on schedule and issues get resolved or escalated. Responsible for program is competition.

Manages internal and external relationships in support of program. May contract and manage vendors.


May provide consultation on complex low to medium scale projects that integrate into an organized program.

May manage/oversee a team who are responsible for the delivery of a portfolio of projects and programs.

Serves as the primary client contact and escalation point for any staffing, bandwidth or delivery issues.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. Provides informal assistance such as technical guidance, and/or training to coworkers. May lead project teams and/or plan, and supervise assignments of lower level employees.





QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from 4-year college or university.

Minimum four years of related experience; 5-7 Years’ experience highly preferred.

Prior Supervisory experience is not required for this role.

Prior Disaster Recovery Site management experience strongly desired.

Great communication skills and ability to work autonomously is preferred.

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE

  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of large-scale corporate property portfolio management principles and practices – ideally with a multi-region banking and finance bias.
  • A strong working knowledge of facilities and engineering systems.
  • Strong grasp of the technical equipment and systems that support Recovery Site and production focused banking and finance facilities (including role, function and make up of technology focuses critical environments and supporting infrastructure).
  • An effective working knowledge of commercial and contractual agreements, including – but not limited to – Commercial Property Leases, Services and Supply Contracts and Master Services Agreements.
  • A detailed understanding of commercial procurement and contracting processes including scope of work design and development, contracting and procure to payment cycle.
  • Knowledge / capability in MS Office suite of applications – Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint is essential as much of the reference documentation is created and maintained in these applications.

  • Able to work collaboratively across geographies (Regions, Countries, Cities and Sites) and time-zones (noting the international nature of our business) to connect with the stakeholder group and add value to the RSM program specifically but also to CBRE’s client engagement as a whole.

CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES

PgMP (Program Management Professional) or PMP (Project Management Professional)

certifications preferred.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills.

Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively

present information.

FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE

Requires advanced knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate

figures such as percentages, discounts, and commissions. Conducts advanced financial analysis.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to solve problems

involving several options in situations. Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills.

OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIES

Strong process skills, negotiating, decision-making and analytical skills are necessary.

Demonstrated ability in project management processes, tools and techniques.

Ability to build and maintain effective professional/client relationships.

Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite including MS Project.
