What you will do
The Director of Digital Business Development is responsible for managing sales efforts within Digital Solutions (DS). He/she will execute strategic sales plans and ensure Johnson Controls (JCI) provides exceptional customer service to new and existing customers within key targeted verticals.

This leader will develop the vision and strategy for our DS by assessing existing competitors and solutions, and creating differentiation of our current DS offerings by identifying potential product gaps and additional product needs. You will solicit regular VOC (Voice of Customer) input to ensure innovation and market differentiation. Strong relationships will be key to the success of this team.

How you will do it

  • Translate product strategies into goals and business plans based on local market conditions, current and prospective market segments, and resource constraints to secure and deliver business in order to meet market share, and revenue and profitability goals within the JCI business model.

  • Operate in an organization that requires collaboration and active teaming with product and regional leadership, as well as the DS organization, in order to serve customers and maximize results.

  • Increase JCI market share within the OneJCI digital market segments to establish Company leadership and drive business growth.

  • Create the strategic product roadmap for product priorities across markets and channels (internal vs external EcoSystem partners), and recommend investment decisions across assigned regions.

  • Manage assets (people, financial, material) in a manner that meets or exceeds profitability goals and drives product business plans in accordance of commitment to the Company.

  • Drive commercialization by bringing new offers to market that the channel is ready to sell and customers are seeking.

  • Build a climate that energizes team members to provide high-quality, cost-efficient and customer-directed service.

  • As success in North America is realized, you will develop and execute global market assessment defining target markets for our OEM Controls business.

  • Serve as an active member of the OEM Solutions Leadership team by providing performance information to share resources and approaches to maximize revenue and profitability.

What we look for
Required

  • Bachelors or Master's Degree in Business or related field of study.

  • Minimum 10+ years’ driving SaaS sales growth objectives as a P&L owner.

  • Strong consultative selling at the C-level.

  • Proven track record with the development and implementation of DDC Controls on Commercial HVAC equipment at the OEM level.

  • Knowledge of the business and technology trends across multiple international markets.
