Job Overview

We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our team in the role of Director, Regional Sales. This role is suited to a driven, dynamic and entrepreneurial-minded salesperson. This individual will maintain and develop a sales territory that is focused mainly in the City of Portland but will also have requirements to travel around the State of Oregon and Southern Washington.

Duties & Responsibilities

o Maintain, develop and grow your sales territory

o Offer technical support and recommend products for specific applications as required

o Analyze current market trends and customer segments to strategically target new customers

o Perform product demonstrations as required

o Perform equipment surveys to identify the product needs for a specific piece of equipment

o Managing customer stock rooms, organizing and keeping adequate stock

o Negotiate pricing with customers based on competitive pressures, product costs, and customer needs

o Cross reference competitive part numbers to match with in-stock inventory

o Develop and present sales materials and/or long term contracts with customers

o Contribute to a superior client experience, responding to unique customer requests as needed

o Keep up-to-date on new product innovations from supplier network, matching these new products with evolving customer requirements

o Work with shipping/receiving to ensure orders are delivered according to customer requests, lending support and assistance as required

· Interested to learn about how filtration and hydraulic systems work and its importance to the economy

Preference Given to Candidates that:

· Are proficient in the Microsoft Office package with emphasis in Excel

· Have a valid driver’s license

· Worked with Sage 300 or other ERP software

· Post-Secondary Education

· Are knowledgeable in hydraulic systems, filtration or automotive/heavy duty equipment

· Heavy Duty Parts/Equipment Sales Experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $54,650.00 - $90,000.00 per year

  • Portland, OR: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Education:

  • Associate (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Sales Strategy & Development Managers: 3 years (Preferred)

Willingness to travel:

  • 25% (Preferred)
