Job Description

Citi’s O&T Transformation office (TO) is a newly formed group within the E O&T organization with responsibility of coordinating, facilitating, challenging and reporting on the technology deliverables for Citi’s Transformation Program- a collection of initiatives to deliver on the future vision of strengthening Citi’s risk and control environment.

The group will facilitate, coordinate the technology and operations global deliverables partnering across GCB O&T, ICG O&T and E O&T on behalf of the CAO Transformation Office to provide a single “pane of glass” by aggregating and normalize reporting.

The goal of the group will be to help streamline activities and communications and develop the process and approach to deliver on the Program through matrixed Sector Transformation offices. The formation of this group will assist with providing tracking and oversight of the multi-year Program initiatives on behalf of senior management and the CAO Transformation office.

The group will help streamline activities to ensure the timely, accurate delivery of artifacts that will be shared with the CAO Transformation office, the CIO Council or to senior management.

The team will also ensure the coordination, communication and sharing of information required throughout the global regions where Citi transacts business.

Key Responsibilities for the Chief of Staff will include:

  • Working closely with the TO senior leadership team to organize the activities of a newly formed team and bring the group together as reviewers, analysts, challengers and organizers of the Transformational Programs being formed in response to the FRB and OCC Consent Orders.
  • Business Management activities including providing financial, operational, and administrative oversight for all of the workforce. Productivity, location strategy and business administration activities across TO team as it is built out.
  • Coordinate the right intersections with the CAO Transformation office who will own the overall integrated plans and the Sector transformation offices who will own delivering the necessary O&T initiatives for the life of the Program.
  • Help create the meeting cadence, sharing and storing of artifices and facilitation of challenge sessions as the plans unfold.
  • Partner with various global shared functions (HR, Finance, Risk, Global PMO, Global Third Party Management, ORM, Staffing etc.) to ensure TO is compliant with all corporate policies and/or has accurately provided all required corporate deliverables.
  • Responsible for managing all financial deliverables across the Program and facilitate the annual investment process, O&T reporting and various ad hoc requests
  • Facilitate the weekly CIO Council agenda and decks to provide transparency into the Consent Order deliverables.
  • Provide routine management reporting and oversight of all scorecard performance objectives; provide all of the central reporting for TO wide reporting & internal data demands.
  • Develop a comprehensive communications strategy covering both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work with key stakeholders to enhance the organizational culture resulting in a highly motivated, engaged, integrated and diverse workforce.
  • Identify productivity/ cost savings initiatives in partnership with the senior management team.
  • Develop senior management presentations by aggregating and synthesizing information into executive reporting.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Senior professional with at least 15 years’ experience in operational/financial group management, preferably in a technology organization.
  • Demonstrated success in managing budgets / financials.
  • Demonstrated development, planning and tracking of an organizations short term and and long term strategic plans.
  • Demonstrated capability to develop and maintain effective work relationships with business, operations and technology partners.
  • Proven ability to conduct research/analysis, organize findings and build presentations to help shape and influence the path for the group.
  • Demonstrated project management experience and detailed knowledge of technology product life cycle.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills - will have interaction with senior technology and business managers.
  • Candidate is expected to be a strong team player and work effectively in cross-organization situations.
