Drive Strategic Value
Shape the future of Frequence by navigating the tradeoffs and synergies between Users’ needs, Technology possibilities, and limitations and Frequence’s goals for growth and profitability.

Build Partnerships
This is a critical and strategic leadership role with responsibility for partnering deeply across Product Management, Engineering, Client Success, Data Science, and Marketing teams, and other teams at Frequence. Evangelizing and demonstrating the impact that UX has will be critical for success in building these partnerships.

Understand Users
The Director of User Experience is a leader with the vision, skills, and passion to delight Frequence’s broad collection of platform users. You will lead a UX team to deliver UX research and UX and UI designs for a portfolio of platform users, including Sales Users, Advertiser Users, Operations Users, and Creative Users.

We expect that you will articulate and deliver crisp, consistent, and value-creating user experiences across our platform.

Build a Center of Excellence
You will leverage your knowledge of industry UX best practices, design team management, and proven UX processes to optimize delivery of consistent high-quality UX for next-generation advertising workflow software on schedule with superb design craftsmanship.

The ideal candidate for this role will start as a “player-coach” who can both roll-up their sleeves to design delightful product experiences as well as drive results by enlisting cross-functional teams across the company.

You will build a team of UX and UI designers to execute on your vision. These designers will need mentorship, motivation, and management

Who you are:

  • BA/BS + Experience Design, or related fields
  • 10+ years of experience as a UI/UX designer or similar role
  • 5+ years experience managing UI/UX designers
  • Demonstrated practical success in taking UX research findings and applying them to add value
  • Fluency in best practices for information architecture, interaction design, visual design, and the user-centered design process
  • Strong knowledge of human factors principles and user experience techniques
  • Experience building pattern libraries
  • Able to advocate for users, promote user empathy, and defend user interface decisions
  • Proficient in design tools such as Sketch,Figma, Zeplin, etc.
  • Proactively determine design needs and solutions for them
  • Able to solve real-world user design problems
  • Passion for trends in technology and user interface patterns for web
  • Demonstrated effective communication and collaboration - Can work well on a collaborative team
  • Specific experience collaborating with Engineering to translate user requirements into implementation plans
  • Agile/Scrum experience
  • Broad design portfolio including breathtaking SaaS projects
