JOB SUMMARY:Wayside Recovery Center is searching for an innovative and dynamic Director of Training to make an impact on internal staff development as well as in the community. The Director will be a powerful storyteller and presenter that will lead a diverse team while ensuring compliance with both state and federal training requirements related to Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics. The position will be responsible for developing learning and training strategies that support Wayside’s strategic goals and drive the successful operation of our service delivery. The Director will also lead up the development and implementation of a plan for a community-based revenue generation training program. The position will be responsible for influencing senior leadership at all levels to adopt effective approaches. The successful candidate will be required to partner with a variety of subject matter experts to align goals. The Director will have primarily responsible with the support of their team to meet annual revenue generation goals and to oversee the implementation of an effective training compliance program.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Essential Functions:
  • Oversee and deliver effective training through various methods including workshops, simulations, and e-learning.
  • Build strong internal and external relationships to devise creative and impactful ways to deliver and develop training content.
  • Evaluate and reimagine how we train in order to break down barriers and to deliver operational consistency and alignment.
  • Build innovative and effective training programs that deliver impact on time and within budget constraints.
  • Develop metric strategies for learning initiatives that measure effectiveness and demonstrate business impact.
  • Providing strong project management skills and budgeting oversight.
  • Provide organizational oversight to ensure internal compliance with extensive state and federal training requirements.
  • Work closely with the Director of Human Resources to provide effective on-boarding training and on-going annual training for employee development.
  • Work closely with governmental partners to oversee the development and implementation of community-based training initiatives and special projects.

  • Must be free from problematic substance use for at least two years immediately preceding their hiring and must sign a statement attesting to that fact.

Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, but not required.
Preferred Experience:
  • Certification as a Mental Health First Aid instructor.
  • Demonstrated experience working effectively with diverse individuals and communities particularly with populations including Black, Indigenous, and People of Color
  • 3+ years of management/supervisory experience
COMPENSATION:
$70,000 - $75,000 to start DOQ LOCATION:
Wayside Wellness Center 1600 University Avenue W, Ste 500

Wayside Recovery Center was founded in 1954, and originally focused on helping women escape sexual exploitation. The Wayside leadership quickly realized that an underlying struggle for most of the women we served were problems related to substance abuse. As a result, Wayside began offering cutting edge treatment options becoming one of the nation’s oldest providers of gender specific substance use disorder and co-occurring disorder treatment.
