Job Description
Overview: Quality Assurance Engineering work focuses on developing, modifying, applying, and maintaining quality evaluation and control systems/protocols including:
  • Devising and implementing methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment
  • Designing and analyzing inspection and testing processes, mechanisms, and equipment Conducting quality assurance tests and performing statistical analysis to assess the level of control and manage product quality risks
  • Undertaking root cause analysis of incidents requiring corrective action
  • Ensures that corrective measures and deviation meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements.
Responsibilities:
  • Manages a department or function that includes multiple teams led by Managers/supervisors and/or manages a functional area or process that may or may not have direct reports
  • Ownership of short to mid-term (1-3 years) execution of functional strategy and the operational direction of the department
  • Responsible for ensuring department goals/objectives are met and align to company’s overall strategy
  • Oversees and supports development and execution of departmental strategy
  • Requires ability to influence multiple, diverse stakeholders to accept policy, practices, and approaches
  • Involves frequent communication with executive leadership on issues of significance
  • Controls resources and policy formation in area of responsibility
  • Influences, coaches, and develops direct reports
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications: In order to be successful in this director role, candidate should have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field from an accredited university or college; Master’s degree preferred
  • At least 8 years of related experience required, including at least 5 years of management or leadership experience
  • Microsoft Office experience required (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams)
