Job Description

The Director of Marketing will develop and execute strategic marketing initiatives for acquisition, retention and growth across the product ecosystem. This person is the steward of the brand and the vision setter for all marketing communications strategies. You are an experienced marketing leader with a passion for managing a high performing, dynamic team!

Job Duties:

  • Partner with key stakeholders to promote the acquisition, retention and growth of memberships and bookings
  • Create marketing strategies and activities to drive each element of the customer journey map for the product portfolio
  • Define and manage the brand, conducting campaign management for marketing activities like lead management, customer segmentation, etc.
  • Create and drive promotion and communication strategies including social media, PR and media
  • Fully establish brand positions for design and copy, developing a QA process to ensure all outgoing material adheres with brand standards
  • Ensure that production capabilities and budget meet and exceed needs for all marketing strategies, including all campaign and strategic project-based initiatives
  • Maintain cadence of quarterly planning sessions, monthly grooming sessions and weekly prioritization efforts
  • Create marketing dashboards and leverage reporting/analytics to monitor success
  • Project manage and coordinate cross functional business processes to promote strong partnerships throughout the organization
  • Connect customer success, sales, marketing and service delivery (product) around the customer thus creating and perpetuating a customer centric mentality
  • Collaborate with Product, Customer Success and Sales team to secure feedback and maintain a knowledge base of materials for teams to draw from when needed
  • Supervise website development and allocate resources to accommodate bug fixes and additional functionality

Leadership Duties:

  • Cultivate Spear as the market leader in exceptional corporate culture, leading by example through consistent alignment with core company values
  • Drive clear communication of expectations and status of activities and provide consistent feedback on performance
  • Understand team member accomplishments and drive recognition activities within your team and cross functionally
  • Create a development plan with each employee that supports career aspirations and provides specific development growth that will serve their current and future role
  • Drive and support a culture of high engagement and pride in the work being done, partnering with HR to create action plans for continuous improvement
  • Partner with HR to actively performance manage team members, ensuring they are meeting expectations and consistently demonstrating company values

Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in a marketing production management role including strategy, planning & execution
  • 3+ years of direct people leadership experience within a functional marketing team
  • Experience working in a SaaS organization with multiple product lines
  • Strong project management experience within an Agile environment
