Ensures that production activities are timely and completed in accordance with established quality standards and procedures. Ensures that product demand is satisfied in a timely manner. Ensure all facility maintenance is properly executed, and the facility requirements of all the teams are met. Ability to troubleshoot and investigate production problems. Assist in developing and implementing policies and procedures that ensure effective completion of area functions. Coordinates closely with related departments to maintain schedules and effect necessary changes and revisions. Assigns, trains, directs, and appraises personnel. Completes related documentation and records as required.Key Duties: Assumes responsibility for the efficient, timely, and accurate completion of Production and Purchasing/Logistics related functions.Coordinates with the Planning and all the stake holders to determine production schedules and to ensure that product is available to meet the demand
  • Tests and evaluates products produced to ensure conformity to quality and production standards.
  • Investigates and troubleshoots problems and product inconsistencies.
  • Establishes and monitors shop floor production schedules and the workflow to ensure maximum production capacity.
  • Prepares documentation and completes related statistical reports and records.
  • Ensures that inventory transactions are correctly entered into computer systems.
  • Ensures that production functions are completed in accordance with established production, safety and quality standards.
  • Provide goals for the Process Engineering team to improve the quality and reduce the cost of the products.
  • Production functions are completed in accordance with established policies, procedures, and quality standards and production schedules and customer demand is met.
  • Production operations are closely monitored and supervised, providing suggestions for improved productivity as needed.
  • Ensure problems are promptly identified, investigated and resolved.
  • Ensure production plans and procedures are regularly reviewed and updated as needed.
  • New Product formats are researched and developed as needed for new business opportunities.
  • Ensure documentation of product development and manufacture is complete, accurate and timely.
  • Participates in and adheres to all QSR regulations.
  • Accepts fiduciary responsibility for Manufacturing/Product Transfer and communicates and maintains adherence to Meridian's corporate policies and procedures.
  • Effectively coordinates functions with related departments to ensure that production is uninterrupted, efficient, and product availability and inventory levels meet demands.
  • Work with the internal departments to meet the facility requirements including the offices, conference rooms, cubicles, and the common areas
  • Develop appropriate production schedules, identify and resolve production problems in a timely manner.
  • Assumes responsibility for assisting in the development and implementation of effective production planning, policies and procedures.
  • Assists Site Management in developing short- and long-term goals and objectives. Provides suggestions and recommendations.
  • Participates in development of policies and procedures and ensure that they support and complement company-wide strategic objectives.
  • Conducts periodic reviews of existing policies and procedures to ensure effectiveness. Ensures that policies and procedures are updated in accordance with evolving production and quality standards.
  • Provides leadership through effective goal setting, delegation, hands-on involvement and communication ensuring optimal performance.
  • Is an active team member through hands-on involvement in production related activities
  • Trains, advises, and counsels other employees in methods to improve performance and productivity.
  • Conducts performance appraisal and directs corrective actions as required.
  • Coaches, mentors and develops management staff.
  • Ensure that all personnel are efficient, effective and well supervised.
  • Assumes responsibility for maintaining effective communication, coordination and working relations with other personnel and management.
  • Works closely with R&D and Quality Departments to maintain schedules and meet deadlines.
  • Support R&D in new products and product improvements as required.
  • Keeps management informed of area activities and significant concerns.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree required in Science field preferred, MBA is a plus.
  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience in manufacturing at a manager or higher level is required.
  • Experience in scientific/manufacturing principles associated with product design, development and manufacture in GMP environment and the principals associated with disposables and instruments product design
  • Experience in managing the facility and the production cleanrooms
  • A minimum of 3 years of related technical production and/or clinical experience in a cGMP, FDA regulated, and ISO environment required.
