Our team looks forward to capitalizing on our resources to help clients achieve their goals and obtain unparalleled results.Position Summary:The Director of Finance is a member of the senior management team for OVG Facilities at Savannah. We are looking for a proactive, driven, and collaborative professional who will be responsible for helping establish the financial infrastructure and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department. The Director of Finance must be detail-oriented and have a passion for rolling up his/her sleeves. This individual should possess a passion for the sports and entertainment industry, support team-first collaboration, and be able to adapt to a continually evolving business environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ensuring data integrity and accuracy
  • Preparing the budget and monthly financial forecasts
  • Development and maintenance of accounting policies, procedures, and checklists
  • Preparation of monthly financial statements and management reports
  • Projecting event deals, actual event P&L's, analysis, and "settlement" of shows on the night of events
  • Audit and verification of ticket receipts
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
  • Oversee the revenue and expense recognition process that follows contract terms and GAAP
  • Lead with the annual GAAP audit
  • Lead other special projects as requested by leadership
  • Monitors compliance with all provisions of the management contract
  • Maintains contact with Risk Management Department and Insurance broker for coordination of appropriate coverage
  • Oversight of Savannah theater financials
  • Oversee payroll and HR functions in the venue
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Requirements
  • B.S. in Accounting or Finance from a four-year college or university
  • CPA or MBA a plus
  • 5 to 10 years of relevant work experience in public accounting and/or financial management at a supervisory level or as department head
  • Venue/Live Entertainment Industry experience is preferred
Skills and Abilities:
  • Willing to work nights and weekends as required.
  • Be a business partner with other departments ensuring financial success of the venue.
  • Extensive knowledge of general and cost accounting
  • Superior Excel skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Demonstrated attention to detail
  • Ability to learn quickly, open to change and enjoy the challenge of unfamiliar tasks
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and ambiguous environment; handle multiple tasks with the ability to re-prioritize and shift priorities quickly
  • Written/Oral communications - ability to speak and write clearly and concisely, get messages across that have the desired effect
  • Experience with Paylocity payroll, and Net Suite accounting system preferred
Working Conditions:
  • Minimal Travel (<10% travel): May be required to travel. Trips may require air travel and/or overnight stay away from home for one or more nights
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule inclusive of weekends, nights and holidays as required
