Job Description

EV Connect is looking to hire a Director of Charger Operations to help drive scaling and performance of its network. In this position you will be responsible for leading a newly formed team focused on operationalizing various aspects of charging equipment. This position will work with various internal stakeholders, supporting different teams to ensure success within the company. Additionally, this person will work closely with equipment manufacturers and driving continuous improvement for EV Connect’s products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead a team focused on the operational improvements of deployed charging stations
  • Monitor, manage and maintain a growing network of EV charging stations to ensure high availability, stability and performance service levels
  • Manage all aspects of commissioning chargers, included credit card machine activation, station labels, SIM cards, etc.
  • Drive continuous improvement of the commissioning process
  • Manage firmware release process for charging stations
  • Manage and maintain supported manufacturers/models/firmware/configuration in the platform
  • Develop technical training modules for internal and external parties
  • Identify and support specification creation for the development of diagnostic tools to support internal support teams
  • Manage quality process for charger/charging issues
  • Drive root cause and corrective actions of field issues
  • Utilize data and analytics to proactively determine larger field issues and drive to closure
  • Develop and implement vehicle interoperability testing plans
  • Maintain interoperability testing schedules
  • Managing and maintaining station certification for existing and new charging station vendors
  • Explore various levels of charger certification to ensure best in class performance
  • Define and analyze metrics that inform the success of charging station performance
  • Lead overall station management, including maintaining user accounts/roles/access and distribution of RFID cards
