Job Responsibilities: What you will do

Oversee the deployment, scaling, and performance of KNX applications through entire life cycle. Ensure the process from development to production is completed smoothly, bridging the gap between Developer and Operations. Provide leadership in shaping our development environment, pipelines and cloud architecture through our rapid growth. Provides coaching, mentoring and leadership to teams tasked with the building and continuously improving enterprise grade software systems on top of the Microsoft .NET development stack, the PHP development stack, or the Java/Other technologies development stack.In partnership with peers in IT, organize the exploration of innovative ideas related to transportation of goods.

  • Oversee DevOps Engineers/Leaders, ensuring appropriately staffed, operating within budget constraints and that systems meet KNX organizational requirements and exceed expectations.
  • Ensure assigned employees have career development plans that provide the organization with strong bench strength for future leaders and specialized individual contributors.
  • Prepare project plans, development approaches, estimated costs and schedules for approval by Information Technology leadership and customer leadership.
  • Create and enforce DevOps standards and patterns to enable teams to deliver expected outcomes of a DevOps operating model at scale.
  • Provide expertise on tooling and methodologies to enable DevOps operating model across KNX delivery teams.
  • Baseline current DevOps capabilities within KNX and provide roadmap targets for near term and future state DevOps adoption.
  • Provide guidance on adoption of modern application paradigms including containers, microservices and event streaming
  • Consulting, education and mentoring team members and leaders across the organization in DevOps practices
  • Refine and update technical, managerial and business skills and experience through work assignments, advanced technical and business training, attending professional and business industry conferences and actively participating in professional organizations.
  • Proactively work to assist others in achieving the organization's objective.

Qualifications: What you need to bring

  • 7+ years of experience in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering required.
  • Previous leadership experience required.
  • Previous project management experience required.
  • Previous experience working in Transportation/Logistics industry preferred.
  • Bachelors or equivalent combination of education and/or experience required.
  • Must be able to lead and motivate team to achieve desired results.
  • Must possess proven ability to collaborate, build relationships and influence others including external vendors and service providers.
  • Must possess strong communication skills with a proven ability to understand key concepts and communicate effectively with technical staff, business stakeholders and senior management.
  • Must possess high levels of personal integrity when conducting the professional affairs of the organization and dealing with sensitive and confidential data relating to risks and cost.
