Remote Eligible: Hybrid, not remote - Due to COVID-19, our corporate (FSC) team is working remotely (on PDT hours) Once our offices reopen, this position will operate on a hybrid schedule, three days in the office and two days remotely.

Your role at Sephora:
As Director of Brand Marketing, you will build strategies that drive retailer preference for the skincare category and manage a team of marketers on our priority brand partners. The Brand Director is responsible for the category strategy and brand management to ensure that the team develops impactful brand and product launch campaigns in collaboration with other teams leveraging relevant retailer levers (social, sampling, co-op and brand partnership).
Partner with Vice President to further develop brand management work across annual planning, webinar/white paper planning 7 Development and future brand portal enhancements/needs.
Day-to-day lead for all thing’s skincare related to retailer levers (co-op, sampling, brand participation in campaigns, reporting and Hindsighting)
Directly manage 3 FTEs: 2 SMMs and 1 MM. Indirectly manage team of 7.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Category Management:
- Lead the cross-functional development of the annual skincare strategy with thru the lens of the client.
- Lead co-op planning for all Sephora Stories, lead brand-facing webinars to update brands on key co-op campaigns
- Collaborate with merchandising to develop sub-class and brand strategies that ladder into the overarching skincare strategy
- Identify key trends or business opportunities that can accelerate the business or client growth (Ingredient -led, Luxe, Body/SPF, etc)
- Support team in creating unique marketing programs that can be implemented for an individual brand or across multiple brands
Brand Management
- Lead team to partner with brands to build full 360-degree marketing plans to help drive awareness and sales using retail levers including but not limited to stores/animations, advertising, online marketing, social media, and sampling/promotions
Sampling
- Align on category sampling forecast and program development in partnership with Sampling Operations teams. Lead work of the team’s sampling captain, Director will be ultimately responsible for the category forecast broken into a brand by brand level, including for Kohls.
- Oversee procurement and management of Beauty Insider sampling and promotional plans for the category
- Partner with the sampling operations teams to elevate brand challenges across the dept
Team Management
- Develop career paths and training plans for each member of the team.
- Dedicate time weekly to guide direct reports with any brand questions or issues that arise
We’re excited about you if you have:
- 8+ years related experience in brand management/marketing in a consumer facing business, digital content publisher or digital agency
- Proactive problem-solving skills; ability to anticipate obstacles and quickly generate alternate solutions/ideas
- Honed presentation skills; confidence in presenting point of view in multiple forums, including leadership level
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills
- Creative self-starter with can-do positive attitude and a roll-up-your-sleeves approach
- Proven ability to lead, build relationships, and work effectively in a highly cross-functional team
- Passion for Sephora, our programs, clients, store associates, and marketing
