More About the Role:

Provide support for CI and CT investigations.

Perform all phases of the forensic examination of digital media, including on-site and off-site evidence acquisition/seizures, forensic analysis, and reporting, ensuring chain of custody is maintained and that applicable rules of evidence are adhered to.

Provide operational security assessments and support cyber forensic and cyber security tasks.

Recover information from computers and storage devices to recover data like documents, photos, and e-mails from computer hard drives and other data storage devices that have been deleted, damaged, or otherwise manipulated.

Uses forensic tools and investigative methods to find specific electronic data, including Internet use history, word processing documents, images, and other files.

Hunt for files and information that have been hidden, deleted or lost.

Analyze data and evaluate its relevance.

Protect computers from infiltration, determine how a computer was broken into, or recover lost files.

Create detailed notes on processes undertaken and develops intelligence-based reporting.

Provide testing and evaluation of emerging trends in digital forensics software and hardware and assist in developing new and innovative forensic processes and procedures.

Provide support for incident response activities, intrusion events, and malware analysis.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

Current and Active TS/SCI and willing to complete a CI polygraph examination.

2 years of host based forensic experience.

DoD Certified Digital Forensic Examiner (DFE).

Desired:

Digital forensic certification, such as Certified Forensic Computer Examiner (CFCE), GIAC Certified Forensic Examiner (GCFE), or EnCase Certified Examiner.

2 years of mobile device forensics.

High School diploma and 14 years’ experience or AA/AS and 12 years’ experience or BA/BS and 10 years of experience or MA/MS and 10 years’ experience.
