Cox Automotive, a subsidiary of Cox Enterprises, is seeking a Digital Commerce Transformation Principal to join our team!

This position is remote/work from home. You need to reside in the Eastern or Central Time Zone.

The Digital Commerce Transformation Principal (DCTP) will be an automotive industry subject matter expert responsible for building the change management plans and activities needed for our clients success. They will work with our most strategic customers to create and execute a successful, holistic operational and marketing plan to support their eCommerce platform and strategy. This role will focus on the impact of changes on processes, systems, technology, roles, and org structure. This individual will work closely with the client team and CAI internal stakeholders to ensure the successful development, implementation, and adoption of change management plans. This includes defining and managing stakeholders, understanding areas of client resistance and how to mitigate and overcome, proactive adoption & realization metric identification, and proposing innovative training programs to ensure successful adoption when needed.

To be successful in this role, an ideal candidate would have a combination of automotive retail operations, change management, ecommerce, and client-facing consulting experience. He/she must also be able to advise on complex impacts to retail operations that directly contribute to the adoption and success of the client. They will need to quickly become a trusted advisor to the C-Suite of our clients

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

  • Research and develop change management plans for successful launch of new clients
  • Partner with internal project teams to manage the change implementation for key client initiatives to ensure successful adoption of the change by the target stakeholders.
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive change strategy & implementation:
    • Identify clients strengths and challenges to create a tailored strategy for success
    • Lead client workshops to build a customized plan that addresses all aspects of change, including: identifying objections, communications, training, process optimization, role changes, incentives/objectives, support, etc.
    • Surface, understand and manage key dependencies and risks related to implementation of digital commerce clients
    • Partner with leads from Training, Sales, Product, Business Operations, Marketing, Support to ensure plans are in place, coordinated and aligned,
    • Present the strategy, roadmap, and change implementation plan to the executive sponsor/ management team for approval.
    • Hand off ownership of agreed upon plan to clients and project management teams to ensure plans are executed in accordance with the agreed strategy and timing
    • Dependency and risk/issue identification and mitigation
    • Creation of KPIs for successful adoption
    • Preparation and presentation of materials for internal meetings
Qualifications:

What We Look For (Minimum Qualifications)

  • BA/BS degree in related field and 7+ years of experience; or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
  • 10+ years working through complex client-facing initiatives
  • 7+ years experience in automotive
    • Deep automotive retail knowledge
  • 5+ years in-dealership experience, as a manager or above, is preferred
  • Experience with eCommerce processes is preferred
  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills to achieve holistic, systemic solutions team player with excellent work habits and interpersonal skills
  • Strong executive presence and ability to influence and shape strategy with clients and business leaders
  • Adaptive, and able to flex with changing job requirements in fast-paced, start-up environment
  • Experience leading and embedding change (inclusive of behavioral/mindset shifts) for an initiative
  • Change management experience on cross functional initiatives
  • Ability to create a sense of urgency and take a proactive, solutions-based approach
  • Ability to influence senior leadership and navigate matrixed business structures
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills to determine an organizations needs, risks to adoption and to determine mitigation plans and evaluate their effectiveness
  • Ability to analyze complex/novel situations using existing tools and resources
  • Ability to document a plan that captures decisions made and actions to be taken
  • Excellent facilitation and communication skills
  • Ability to iterate and develop work products as clients needs evolve
  • Must be willing to travel to client sites, as well as other Cox Automotive locations as needed
  • Travel varies, but will be approximately 20%
  • Requires physical ability and mental acuity to execute the duties of the position successfully within required timeframes to meet business requirements.
