The Administrative Associate II (Diet Clerk) position receives patient diet orders via fax from medical staff and enters information into a computerized diet program. Maintains an accurate and current patient master file for all diet orders. Prints all diet cards and supplement labels. Reviews all diet cards and labels for accuracy. Resolves any diet discrepancies with the department dietitians. Organizes diet card sequence per meal delivery schedules. Prepares and distributes daily supplement list to stock control and production staff. Compiles information regarding diet orders, supplement orders and special requests to the Food Service Director. Collects, compiles and consolidates census and diet information to generate reports.
Work Schedule: 6:30am – 5:30pm; 7:30am – 6:30pm; 8am – 7pm; with rotating weekends

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies

***Management Prefers: Experience with production and/or service of therapeutic diets.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and one year of administrative experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.


Degrees must be from appropriately accredited colleges or universities.
