DevOps Intern

The DevOps intern will assist the DevOps team in day-to-day tasks as outlined in the Job Description below. In addition, the DevOps intern will be assigned a special project to complete during the internship. The special project will likely involve heavy use of Python and SQL skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring development activities, change management tickets, and their impact on U.S. Operations
• Monitoring U.S. production, disaster recovery, and certification systems for issues
• Troubleshooting and driving resolution of issues
• Assisting build team to resolve build/deployment issues
• Working Jira tickets assigned to DevOps
• Creating/improving reports related to Operations
• Analyzing and optimizing trading platform
• Investigating software bugs
• Capacity planning and testing
• Managing operational batch processing

Requirements

• Currently pursuing in Bachelor’s degree or higher
• Desire to learn about technical operations for a financial exchange
• Advanced Linux command line knowledge
• High level of proficiency in Python, SQL and shell scripting
• Ability to read and evaluate C++ (desired)
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work well in a dynamic team oriented environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
