General Responsibilities
Embrace and maintain an expert level understanding of the organization, its mission, its vision and its entire team, in order to effectively promote its offering and positively connect with all existing and future stakeholders
Drive efforts to maintain and improve operational and capital funding for program, facility and administrative expenses supporting an annual operating budget in excess of USD 1.5 million
Develop revenue targets and specific goals with the guidance and ongoing collaboration of Executive Team and Board of Managers
Write and submit grant packages to various public and private entities with the ongoing assistance of Executive Director and Program Director
Serve as in-house expert over all available public and private funding programs in order to meet deadlines and maintain compliance within the respective regulatory and reporting framework(s)
Actively acknowledge and communicate with donors via phone calls, letters and emails
Grow and maintain donor database inclusive of governmental entities, private organizations, community groups and local residents
Champion the annual fund and all related items across all donor levels
Create and maintain a fluid calendar of important dates and events, including but not limited to grant submittals, outreach efforts, existing fundraisers and new opportunities
Lead monthly Development Committee meetings with the Development Chair of the Board of Managers along with other dedicated volunteers
Prepare ongoing updates and progress reports to present to the Board of Managers at monthly meetings
Collaborate with Executive Team to write and circulate newsletter updates while incorporating important content into the Joseph’s House website
Design and implement multi-media campaigns via web based communication including, but not limited to YouTube videos
Uphold JH Core Culture at all times
Skills and Qualifications
Proven leader with successful experience in grant writing, community outreach, and database management
Self-starter who is results-oriented and committed to meeting deadlines
Ability to navigate local and state governmental entities for the purposes of ongoing commitments
Knowledge of development efforts required to sustain and grow contributions from small to mid-size community partners
Patience and willingness to listen
Team player with strong interpersonal, and organizational skills, with ability to communicate effectively within different levels of organization and board
Attention to detail, reliable, flexible and adaptable
Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office and desktop publishing
