Summary:

This position will be responsible for development and maintenance of drawings, in addition to supporting the drafting and designing needs on a variety of small to mid-range projects. Essential skills include ability to read and interpret engineering blue print documents and demonstrate knowledge of engineering disciplines: mainly architectural and MEP. Additional responsibilities are to develop space planning initiatives and manage the projects, drawings and documents lifecycle from inception to completion.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and maintain both Grifols internal and external drawings
  • Able to perform preliminary review and redlines on external engineering drawings, mainly architectural and MEP
  • Coordinate the collection of Redlines and incorporate information into drawings using AutoCAD
  • Able to create drawings from rough sketches and specifications created by engineers.
  • Perform design and space planning work
  • Assist with maintenance of Space Databases - Monitors layouts, designs, and space plans of facilities in relation to the move plan.
  • Organize & Maintain drawing / project data filing system for all projects
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal and external vendors and customers
  • Develop materials in compliance with FDA regulations
  • Communicate with cross functional departments and support groups to improve departmental performance and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with other functional areas in Engineering, Manufacturing, Maintenance, Quality, Regulatory, etc.
  • Ensure the compliance of corporate drafting guidelines, including but not limited to, naming convention, layer convention, equipment naming and numbering standards.


Education:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or a related discipline.


Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience.
  • Must be resourceful and able to multitask numerous projects.
  • Must have a high proficiency level with AutoCad
  • Must have knowledge of Revit to able to devolve basic models and alter existing models.
  • Must have knowledge of Bluebeam or equivalent pdf editing software.
  • Able to understand general engineering terms and basic engineering calculations.
  • Able to Understand code book
