Operations Specialist. Reporting to the EVP of Deposit Operations, the Senior Deposit Operations
Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the bank. In this position you will perform various daily tasks related to the day-to-day operations of the bank as well as handle functions that have a regulatory, monetary, and potential reputational risk impact. Functions are time sensitive and must be adhered to by means of policy and procedure of Titan Bank.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for processing incoming and outgoing wire transfers, ACH files, returned deposited items, cash letter, exception item processing adjustments, levies and garnishments.
  • Analyze, correct and complete posting of non-posted items. Process non-sufficient funds items in accordance with decisions made regarding payment or returning the items.
  • Responsible for processing debit card disputes in accordance with Regulation E and

MasterCard/Visa rules.

  • Provide support and assistance to internal customers by serving as a resource on all deposit- related topics and concerns.
  • Provide customer service primarily by phone to external customers by responding to balance inquiries, debit card, online banking and deposit account questions and issues, and other requests for assistance.
  • Review various exception reports and monitor accounts with special instructions, taking steps to address items on the reports.
  • Perform daily reconciliation of internal bank accounts, general ledgers and adjustments as assigned.
  • Responsible for ensuring all questions and concerns related to the deposit support functions of

Jack Henry are answered timely and cases are placed with Jack Henry for assistance.

  • Assist with examiners and auditors during regulatory exams and internal audits when related to

Deposit Operations functions.

  • Assist with the Bank’s year-end reporting requirements including IRS tax reporting.
  • Assist the Director of Operations with both the Bank Secrecy Act and Identity Theft Prevention programs as well as assistance with annual training requirements.
  • Assist Director of Operations with other projects as assigned.
  • Compiles information from various areas of the Bank where issues have been identified and assists in remediation efforts.
  • Works closely with management to ensure proper dual controls and other security measures are in place.
  • Cross train for other job functions as back up as needed in the department.
  • Keeps abreast of industry changes that will improve job function and performance.

Other Duties & Responsibilities

Position Qualifications

  • College degree preferred or equivalent banking experience.
  • You must have worked with a bank core computer system for at least 5 years. Knowledge of Jack

Henry Silverlake is beneficial if you have it.

  • Excellent communication skills, detail oriented, ability to work independently
  • Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to instruct others, train personnel, write reports, correspondence and procedures, and speak clearly to customers and employees.
  • Ability to research, interpret, analyze and report operational data
  • Ability to make sound decisions, prioritize work, handle pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a fast paste environment, and facilitate a team environment.
  • Flexible and adaptable to a changing environment.
  • Knowledge with Windows applications such as Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years previous bank operations experience or related areas
  • Additional experience in other areas of a bank would be beneficial, especially in a branch environment
  • Previous supervisory or management experience is preferred
