Job Description

We are a multi-specialty dental practice looking to bring on a part-time or full-time front desk receptionist/patient coordinator. A full-time employee is eligible for benefits. We are looking for someone who is dependable, friendly, organized, with strong communication skills and a great work ethic. We are looking for someone who is a team-player. Ideally, a year of dental administrative experience is preferred, but would be willing to train the right candidate. Experience with Eaglesoft and/or Dolphin dental software is a plus. Compensation is $17-20/hour depending on experience level.

Job Summary: Acts as a liaison between patient and doctor regarding appointments, finances, and various communications by performing the following duties.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Schedules patient appointments.
  • Handles new patient phone calls according to scripted protocols.
  • Explains office financial policy to patients.
  • Receives and delivers messages including prescription orders.
  • Processes incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Receives and places calls to other dental and medical offices.
  • Completes and files insurance forms.
  • Pulls and maintains patient files.
  • Handles opening and closing activities.
  • Maintains a neat and orderly work area.
  • Performs basic billing and collection procedures.
  • Performs any other related duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

Current OSHA and HIPAA training preferred.

Experience with Eaglesoft and/or Dolphin dental software is a plus.

Language Ability:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word; Eaglesoft and Dolphin software.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
We have placed protective shields and HEPA filters in the front desk area. PPE is available for admin staff, including masks and protective eye wear. We practice the highest level of infection control and adhere to recommendations from CDC, OSHA and ADA.
