  • Work location: Remote Work with some travel to the Arlington Office. Must live within 3-hours of the Corporate Office in Arlington
  • Department: IT Data Center Operations
  • Work hours: Full Time (40 Hours); Day Shift; Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 5:00 PM on call duties semi- monthly

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Information Systems, Business,or relevant field. 4 Years Relevant experience in lieu of a degree. (Required)

Experience:

  • 3 Years Database/ETL programming experience required with a Bachelor's degree. Experience with a healthcare organization preferred. (Required) or
  • 7 Years Database/ETL programming experience required with no degree. Experience with a healthcare organization preferred. (Required)

Position Responsibilities:

Summary:

New Development/Support/Maintenance: Using SQL, XML, Visual Basic, C#, Java and other relevant tools, extract data from applications targeted for retirement; transform and load that data into the archiving application (ETL) and configure the application by creating custom search screens and reports

Essential Functions:

  • Employ Agile/Test Driven Development (TDD) for the projects. Develop, write and test user stories. Write code to implement requirements in TDD process.
  • Subject Matter Expert: Document the mapping and ETL process for the archived applications. Document the user interface for the archived applications. Provide excellent customer service.
  • System Analysis and Design: Configure and support the underlying infrastructure to support the archived applications. Monitor the license consumption (storage based licensing). Alert of high utilization of server resources and storage consumption. Forecast needs during the budget cycle for the upcoming year/projects.
  • Leadership, Motivation, and Mentoring: Serve as a thought leader and mentor to others who are assisting you with the archive system.
  • Planning and Administrative Skills: Plan time off, provide timely status reports, record time off and work time in appropriate systems.
  • Track time on projects to constantly provide better time estimates of future projects. Serve in the rotation for team on call duties.
