Data/Database Analyst Lead

The purpose of this position is to formulate, define and carry out activities related to the administration of data and/or databases. Apply full technical knowledge of all phases of data/database administration to develop, maintain and project long-range requirements for data/database administration and design. Lead a team of technology professionals and direct their work.

Knowledge, Skills and Ability required : (These are needed to perform the work assigned.)

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology/Computer Science or 4 years of related technical and business experience. Experience in database administration, and in working with health related data preferred.

Knowledge of database hardware including backup, recovery, operating systems, logical and physical design, infrastructure, storage capacity and data warehousing methods, hardware and software including applications and programming. Common query languages, data mining and storage, data administration and data standardization methods. Establishing database system requirements, analyzing database performance and modifying database configuration to correct problems.

Ability to work well within a team environment and have exceptional collaborative skills. Create reports, dashboards and manipulate data in response to customer requirements, and generate complex queries and reports. Experience in providing leadership to coordinate work efforts, make assignments, monitor and report on work progress, and mentor staff.

This contract will run through the end of FFY21: September 30, 2021 with the potential to extend.
