Job Description

Paramount Marketing Consultants is the premier Vacation Ownership Marketing Company in Las Vegas.

We are seeking a Database Administrator.

Overview:

Primary responsibility is to maintain ongoing support of the Company’s Oracle databases and ensuring their performance, availability, and security.

Specific Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for ensuring availability and performance of the databases that support the Concierge application
  • Work with the IT department to ensure that appropriate hardware resources are allocated to the databases and ensure maximum availability and optimum performance; this includes all aspects related to back up and restore procedures
  • Proactive monitoring of database systems to ensure continued services with little or no down time to the operation
  • Responsible for providing trend analysis to management to enable them to make informed decisions regarding current resources, allocation, and the state of the Oracle Databases
  • Responsible for problem escalation to development team and third parties as appropriate
  • Responsible for improvement and maintenance of the databases to include rollout and upgrades. Including SQL optimization
  • Responsible for implementation and release of database changes as submitted by the development team
  • Work with management in providing methods to perform ad-hoc queries and limited analysis for business related inquiries
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with all departments and levels of management
  • Participate in owners’ and management meetings when necessary.
  • Must maintain a high level of professional appearance, demeanor, and ethics.

Education and Experience:

Oracle Server Administration experience

Experience with Oracle 10. G (preferred)

Experience with Oracle Server performance, tuning and optimization

Experience with Oracle Server backup and recovery

Experience with larger scale database infrastructures

Management experience is a huge plus. At a minimum, project management and/or some key leadership responsibilities required.

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience)

(This position requires to be on site in Las Vegas)
