Objective

The Data Services Manager - Plus is responsible for delivering an elevated data conversion experience to our valued APM Plus customers. This position is the first point of contact for all data conversion needs, and owns pre- & post-live follow-up to ensure customer success. As part of the APM Plus business initiative, the Data Services Manager will help drive improvements to the current data migration process to enhance the APM Plus customer conversion experience. The Data Services Manager provides a hands-on service experience by owning the collection, formatting and delivery of accounts’ data conversion.

Expected Outcomes

  • Own and deliver successful data migrations for APM Plus customers
    • Master the AppFolio data conversion process
    • Manage data pulls, pre- and post- sale, including core data, financial data, add-ons, breakaways, remigrations & merges
    • Complete a data analysis/health check at kick-off to provide proactive coaching to assigned accounts & ensure a smooth data conversion
    • Manage entering additional data points and configuring APM and APM Plus features to provide an enhanced customer conversion experience
    • Partner with the APM Plus Onboarding Manager to define a successful conversion and drive customer interactions to ensure project success
  • Innovate the data migration process to provide a differentiated experience for APM Plus customers
    • Work with Account Services team to define best practices for driving key milestones to avoid stalling data conversion and decrease duel entry period
    • Up-level opportunity to improve our data migration process to scale with APM Plus growth
    • Partner cross-functionally within APM Plus to elevate the conversion experience as a key value differentiator for sales & marketing
  • Contribute to team culture and provide a differentiated customer service
    • Drive team initiatives and embrace the start-up mentality of taking initiative & helping with tasks outside of defined job responsibilities
    • Attend recurring APM Plus meetings and elevate the Account Services team by representing customer service needs cross-functionally
    • Drive credibility of our service offerings by delivering outstanding, proactive customer service
    • Put the customer first and maintain a customer-centric mindset at all engagements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Microsoft Excel knowledge preferred
  • Outstanding customer relationship skills; ability to create and maintain strong positive relationships with Appfolio clients & overcome objections
  • Excellent time management, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical capabilities for advanced problem-solving
  • Ability to adapt and work efficiently in a rapidly changing, dynamic team environment
  • Property Management knowledge desired
  • Accounting Knowledge desired
  • Able to travel 10% if needed (when travel resumes)
