JOB OVERVIEW

A. The Data & Event Manager will support resource development and program staff by managing donor and program data within Salesforce for Nonprofits, coordinating fundraising and social events, some print and digital media communications, and donor engagement.

B. Manage data entry and update data from a variety of sources, reporting, and reconciliation as it relates to our constituents, programs, grant reporting and donor development.

C. They will manage the day to day tasks of our event logistics such as organizing facilities and details like location, recruiting attendees, sponsors, and speakers.

D. They will use graphic design software (Adobe Creative Suite) to creatively develop new design concepts, graphics and layouts, with range of social and digital media to create and distribute content.

E. They will provide support for resource development efforts with accuracy and attention to detail while demonstrating effective problem solving skills.

F. This role works in close collaboration with the Development Director to ensure our development efforts are meeting strategic goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

A. Enable effective donor management by accurately updating and maintaining development related databases, spreadsheets, and 3rd party rankings (such as Charity Navigator).

B. Develop and foster relationships with Lions Club members, donors, and partnering organizations; find personal connections with staff, board, trustees, volunteers, donors that will encourage the attention of institutional funders. Follow up with donors and Lions by phone and email on a regular basis to support our strategic goals.

C. Administratively support the donor directed projects and programs, institutional and individual funders, and developing internal reporting systems with program staff. This includes helping donors set up recurring donation plans and follow up to ensure their payment methods are updated.

D. Work with director and program staff to generate print and social media materials as well as the annual report; to produce timely donor (including in-kind) acknowledgements, year-end tax letters and direct mail efforts; coordinate the design and ordering of OLSHF awards; and coordinate the logistics of fundraising and outreach meetings and events.

E. Coordinates all donor related events of OLSHF to ensure that the goals and objectives are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and funding parameters.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

A. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

B. Success in roles requiring execution of multiple tasks while responding to multiple priorities.

C. Proven ability to work with efficiency, flexibility, and good humor. Self-driven and ability to work independently.

D. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide array of people – junior and senior, for-profit and nonprofit, and from diverse backgrounds.

E. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

Essential Functions

Ability to work with minimal direct supervision. Strong organizational and self-management skills. Must be detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy. Ability to work cooperatively with all levels of staff. Very strong professionalism and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workload and work schedules. Ability to multi-task and meet challenging deadlines, set priorities, and respond quickly to short notice requests. Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal).

Physical Requirements

Ability to sit for long periods of time. Repetitive use of hands and fingers (i.e. keyboarding, data entry). respond to face-to-face and telephone inquiries. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds on occasion. Office and work from home options available.

Compensation

$19/hour; Employer paid benefits including medical, dental, vision, Life, AD&D, Short & Long Term Disability; Employer paid progressive retirement benefit beginning at 4% gross wages
