Job Description

Summary:

PermaPlate is a family owned company based in Salt Lake City that has a 40-year history of superior customer service and quality products. We have experienced explosive growth recently and are in the process of adding to our team of outstanding individuals. We are looking for a full-time Data Entry Clerk to join our team. This individual will be primarily responsible for inputting customer and vehicle information from warranties into a computer database.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Data Entry Clerk ideally suited for this role will be results-oriented with strong computer skills. Core duties and responsibilities include the following:

  • Accurately and efficiently inputting information from warranties into a computer database
  • Requesting further information for documents that are deemed incomplete
  • Checking for errors or duplicate information and resolving inconsistencies
  • Scanning, photocopying, sorting, and filing records; pulling records as directed
  • Operating office equipment including personal computer, copiers, scanners, fax machines and 10-key calculator
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); and one to six months related experience and/or training; or any combination of education, experience, and training which provided the following knowledge, skills and abilities
  • Type and 10-key accurately and efficiently
  • Basic computer skills and word processing
  • Ability to work with a team to accomplish department objectives
  • Ability to listen, communicate (written and verbal), with excellent grammar, spelling and proof reading skills
  • Ability to quickly verify accuracy
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work efficiently
  • Ability to sort, check, count, and verify numbers; as well as add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to follow policies and procedures; completing administrative tasks correctly and on time
  • Able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events

HOURS:

Position will be 40 hours per week Monday through Friday, between 8 am and 5 pm.
