AWS Data Exchange is looking for an experienced professional to established and run the AWS Data Exchange Data Discovery Desk. The Data Discovery Desk is an exciting new function that will help AWS Data Exchange subscribers find and subscribe to the data they are seeking on AWS Data Exchange. The Data Discovery Desk Manager will be responsible for triaging and managing customer requests to get the data they need from the right source, and developing insights to inform enhancements to our search and discovery experiences. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is creative and scrappy and is excited by setting up a new customer facing function from scratch within a growing AWS service team.

Responsibilities:
  • Set-up the AWS Data Exchange Data Discovery Desk, including operational processes and procedures.
  • Own and manage a queue of incoming data requests from external customers and internal personnel
  • Own communication for all incoming requests and proactively respond with a range of data product recommendations
  • Become a catalog expert and be able to develop a wide-range of knowledge regarding available data products
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize processes to capture incoming data requests from customers
  • Communicate and collaborate with other internal teams to ensure AWS Data Exchange Data Discovery Desk is appropriately integrated in wider AWS Data Exchange operating models
  • Create best practices guides and work with Product Management to enhance the AWS Data Exchange User Guide
  • Use data requests to derive insights regarding data needs and work across the AWS Data Exchange BD teams to adjust strategies based on insights
  • Work directly with Customer Support to ensure that customer issues are resolved as expediently as possible
  • Collaborate with the Business Intelligence team to define metrics to measure and drive success
