GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Data and Reporting Analyst will be responsible for creating new, modifying existing, and performing ad-hoc reporting in support of business processes and data-driven decision making. Develops a deep understanding of the business/customer and builds strong relationships with stakeholders. Delivers value through data analysis and reporting and adapts to changing business needs.

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Use modern reporting tools to streamline and automate the manual, repetitive reporting processes, bringing new insights to leaders in an interactive and timely manner.
  • Use data modeling, prototyping, statistics, data mining, scenario analysis to collect, explore, and extract insights and present them using Tableau.
  • Act as a "Data Translator" to Communicate and understand the value of analytical work, articulate and advocate for prioritization of projects based on estimated/calculated business impact with Senior and Executive Leadership.
  • Influence IT, and other partner orgs on needs for data infrastructure, data integrity, tools, etc.
  • Identify and manage existing and emerging risks that stem from business activities and processes.
  • Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled.
  • Facilitate business projects of high complexity, size and visibility ensuring stakeholders champion decision making data needs.
  • Lead or directs the design, development and implementation and provides oversight of the maintenance of complex and sometimes unique business solutions, which may include data, reporting, business intelligence or analytics.
  • Utilize a comprehensive understanding of multiple data structures and sources to Lead or direct complex and sometimes unique data manipulation using advanced data extraction and analytical tools and techniques.
  • Recognize the connection between the business operations and analytics to influence business strategies and solutions.
  • Develops innovative reporting and story-telling approaches to address business problems and solutions.
  • Responsible for ensuring operational reports are complete, provide accurate data, and in compliance with all internal and external reporting requirements.
  • Coordinate inputs from multiple sources, synthesizes data / information and creates qualitative commentary capturing key messages.

Qualifications: You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science or closely related field.
  • 3+ years of Finance technical experience
  • Tableau report creation expertise (must be demonstrated)
  • Finance and operations systems expertise
  • Working knowledge and familiarity with finance and operational systems and processes.
  • Experience in creating comprehensive business and financial forecasts and models
  • Driving measurable impact to organizational decisions through use of data
  • Demonstrated skills to influence and communicate (written and in person) at all levels of the organization
PREDERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Project Management
  • Tableau Certification
  • Experience partnering with IT (SAs, Scrum Masters, Developers)
  • Programming languages (i.e. SQL, Python, HANA, R)
