Summary:

The HR Data Analyst is responsible for assisting with HR processes and projects (such as integration, acquisition, divestiture, HR cyclical programs) as well as continuous employee and organizational data maintenance support for NRG Home and NRG Services client groups. This position can be based in Houston or Princeton and will likely work remotely 3-4 days per week.


Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Quickly and accurately process a significant volume of employee data/record changes in Success Factors (pay, reporting, titles, cost centers, etc.).
  • Partner with HRBPs and clients to post new open jobs to NRG’s applicant tracking system (ATS).
  • Produce meaningful adhoc reports and data analysis in a user-friendly format.
  • Provide subject matter expertise relative to hris system processes, data automation and reporting.
  • Work with HR colleagues to solve problems and identify new opportunities to add value.
  • Provide input and support in HR projects and assist with the implementation and administration of those projects, such as:
    • Assist in planning for projects including creating and/or maintaining project plans
    • Monitor project progress; identify and raise project risks
    • Track and update actions and key decisions
    • Assist in preparing status reports, project decks, training and project communications
  • Maintain employee data worksheets for special projects, such as acquisitions
  • Recommend and perform data audits to ensure accurate and compliant records.
  • Maintain open position and workforce planning reports
  • Adapt role and responsibilities to changing needs of the department and clients.
  • Challenge conventional thinking and processes which may have become outdated. Find a shorter path to the end goal.


Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree, in a related discipline, preferred (or equivalent relevant work experience).


Experience:

  • 2 plus years of human resources experience with business client interaction in a very fast-paced, dynamic organization.
  • HR project experience, especially projects involving mass employee data.
  • Proven abilities with process improvement, data analytics and the maintenance of confidential information.
  • Experience working with SAP, SuccessFactors HR.
  • Advanced Excel skills required to include the following:
    • Ability to enter data in pre-existing models and reports, run reports created by others
    • Ability keep the customer in mind when developing data outputs (reports, graphs, tables, etc.) so they are intuitive and meaningful to the end user
    • Overall strong Excel skills including pivot tables, data tables, lookup functions and logical references
  • Experience working and developing SharePoint sites preferred.
  • Experience working in a large company is helpful.

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to adapt work schedule to business demand
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time, reviewing data, entering data, working at a computer for most tasks.
