About the Opportunity:

Joint Enterprise Technologies is currently seeking an experienced Cyber Systems Splunk Administrator with advanced knowledge in applying in-depth sustainment support of enterprise network cyber defense capabilities to prevent sophisticated cyber threats and vulnerabilities, or detection of them when prevention fails. The successful candidate will be responsible for strengthening the defensive posture and cyber defense operational readiness of an IT Enterprise, our Enterprise Cyber Network Defense (ECND) program defends and protects Government assets from external Cyber Security attacks and Insider Threats that can potentially cause or create data, systems, networks, and personnel vulnerabilities.

Required Clearance:

  • AN ACTIVE DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE TS/SCI SECURITY CLEARANCE IS REQUIRED IN ORDER TO APPLY.
  • Willingness to submit to and pass a Counter Intelligence (CI) Polygraph.

Location:

  • Washington, DC

Tanium Administrator/Engineer functional duties consists of:

  • Performing complex system development, design, integration, and sustainment of Tanium systems for new or existing computer systems within an Enterprise.
  • Developing and documenting configuration standards, policies, and procedures for operating, managing and ensuring the security of a Tanium infrastructure.
  • Participating in incident, problem, and change management processes related to Tanium.
  • Providing Tanium O&M and User access.
  • Planning and directing upgrades and system enhancements.
  • Developing and implementing testing strategies and documenting results.
  • Developing documentation on new or existing systems.
  • Providing system/equipment/specialized training and technical guidance.
  • Serving as liaison with clients, participating in meetings to ensure client needs are met.
  • Providing guidance and work leadership to less-experienced staff.
  • Communicating with customers and teammates clearly and concisely.
  • Maintaining current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned and may have supervisory responsibilities.
  • Participating in special projects as required.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Researches and evaluates new concepts and processes to improve performance.
  • Analyzes cross-functional problem sets, identifies root causes and resolves issues.
  • Can perform tasks of senior level technicians, specialists, and or managers due to the size and/or complexity of the task. Assists more junior level technicians, specialists, and managers in their activities.
  • May work individually or as a key member of a senior leadership team. Oversees and monitors performance across several disciplines, and when required, takes steps to resolve issues.
  • Provides expert guidance and direction to Government and Vendor senior level technicians and managers. Directs multiple contractor and subcontractor teams through to project completion.
  • Perform system or network designs that encompass multiple enclaves, to include those with differing data protection/classification requirements.
  • Provide security planning, assessment, risk analysis, and risk management.
  • Recommend system-level solutions to resolve security requirements.
  • Support the customer in the enforcement of the design and implementation of trusted relationships among external systems and architectures.
  • Perform certification and accreditation by reviewing documentation and providing recommendations.

Education and Experience:

  • HS/GED + 12 years experience
  • Associates Degree + 10 years experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree + 8 years experience
  • Master’s Degree + 6 years experience
  • PhD + 4 years experience

Required Certifications:

A minimum of one certification from each of the following categories:

  • IAT II – CCNA Security, Security+ CE, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, or SSCP
  • IASAE II – CASP CE, CISSP (or Associate), or CSSLP
