Cyber Security Specialist, CMMC

FoxGuard Solutions is looking to add a full-time Cyber Security Specialist, CMMC to its team of cyber experts! What will you be doing?

Working within the Information Security Services team to assist in the evaluation and development of client Cyber Security Program requirements meeting Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) and other Federal Government cybersecurity as needed.

• Formulate cyber strategies to best meet CMMC mandated technological requirements.
• Perform a variety of CMMC centric network security accreditation and policy support tasks, including support services.
• Support customer and product management needs by providing CMMC compliance consultation and guidance.
• Provide guidance and implementation recommendations for CMMC demanded security enhancements.
• Federal Government and Defense Industrial Base involvement with the development of best practices.
• Supports CMMC related activities within FoxGuard for the strategic high priority development, testing, program assessments, policy and guidance, and education and training.
• Assisting in business opportunities alignment within the Federal Government supply chain sector.

What will you bring to the table?

• 6+ years of progressive practical information security experience; Bachelor?s or advanced degree may be substituted for related experience.
• Knowledge to review, develop, and apply a range of cyber security concepts to mitigate risks in cyber security operations in line with CMMC requirements.
• Knowledge of modern cyber security frameworks utilized and mandated by the Federal Government, such as the NIST Cyber Security Framework (CSF)
• Apply the NIST concepts of cyber deterrence in developing future cyber security strategies and policies.

  • SP 800-39, Managing Information Security Risk: Organization, Mission, and Information System View
  • SP 800-53, Security and Privacy Controls for Information Systems and Organizations
  • SP 800-171, Protecting Controlled Unclassified Information in Nonfederal Systems and Organizations
  • FIPS 199, Standards for Security Categorization of Federal Information and Information Systems
• Working knowledge of Linux or other Non-Windows Operating Systems for the purpose of delivering CMMC compliant security postures.
• Ability to work effectively with all levels of staff and management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills including demonstrated ability to present to clients.
• Strong analytical ability and problem identification/problem resolution skills.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience working with and securing Operational Technologies/Industrial Control Systems and associated computing environments.
• Government Cyber Security related knowledge and practical experience.
• Analyze technical and operational requirements for future cyber security systems.
• Compare and contrast international cyber security policies, strategies, and capabilities.
• Develop and apply decision frameworks using the guidelines of cyber security ethics, law, and strategy.
• IT and Cyber Security certifications such as:
  • CISSP
  • CISM
  • CISA
  • GSEC
  • GISCP
  • CASP+
  • GSE
• Manage the development of cyber security standards and capabilities.
