Job Description

Recro is looking for a motivated, career and customer oriented Cyber Security Engineer SME to join our team in Chantilly, VA.

Clearance

Responsibilities

  • Performs as the technical expert.

  • Manages projects developing software or systems engineering supporting Cyber focused development.

  • Familiar with multiple development methodologies (e.g. Scrum, TDD, waterfall).

  • Tasks may include Graphical User Interfaces (GUI's), middleware, data transformations, statistical and big data analysis.

  • Expert in multiple programming languages to include Java, Django, Python, Drupal, or other high-level language development or database management.

  • Responsible for server-side applications required for supported functions (e.g. Apache, MySQL).

  • Able to design end-to-end data systems.

  • Communicates status with leadership and customers.

  • Represents the organization as the prime technical contact on contracts and projects.

  • Interacts with senior external personnel on significant technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations.

  • Applies extensive technical expertise and has full knowledge of other related disciplines.

  • Answers technical questions regarding products and services, and may take part in putting together proposals, configurations, and product offerings.

  • Considered a Lead and may manage the work of others.


Desired Experience

  • Linux expertise

  • AWS expertise

  • Ansible expertise (other configuration management tools like Puppet or Chef)

  • Cyber SME (for analytics/ML)

  • Data engineering

  • Familiarity with Elastic Stack, Kafka, K8s

  • Knowledge of GitLab, containers, DevOps pipelines



Required Experience

  • Bachelors Degree with 10 years or 12 years total experience

  • IAT Level II Certification or willing to obtain within the first 6 months
