Georgia-Pacific is currently seeking a Customer Service Representative for our West Coast recyclable padded mailers packaging business. This is a great opportunity to join a leadership team in building out a new product line and working to improve the procedures to exceed the needs of our customers. The Customer Service Representative is accountable for the orders to cash flow process at the site, ensuring that customer expectations are met. They will act as a liaison between sales, customers, production planning, and production functions to ensure full customer satisfaction. The Customer Service Representative will provide 1st touch resolution to customer escalations and concerns while providing back up in day-to-day order fulfilment activities. As the business is new, the West Coast team is seeking a process-oriented collaborator for end-to-end order to cash mapping. Attention to detail and striving to gain efficiencies is a key element for this role. functions as a key member of sales and operations and will work with cross-functional groups to achieve business goals. As part of a regional team for the recyclable padded mailers business, collaborate with other team members for coverage, business continuity and support.

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Coordinate with sales, design, production, factory, warehouse, and other teams to ensure customer needs are met as efficiently as possible
  • Manage escalations as a tier one problem solver for customer accounts and the needs associated with those accounts as necessary/appropriate
  • Provide accurate customer status updates on a regular and ad hoc basis
  • Troubleshoot any issues that may cause a delay in an on-time and in full customer order
  • Assist with prioritizing schedules with warehouse, factory, and transportation when there is a conflict or expedite request
  • Maintain appropriate communication with all functional areas to insure smooth order flow processes
  • Continuously evaluate customer service processes and procedures and make improvements where appropriate
  • Thrive in an environment of continuous change

The Experience You Will Bring Requirements:

  • High School Diploma OR GED
  • 5-7 years of customer service experience in logistics , sales support, manufacturing, distribution center or in the packaging field or Consumer Package Goods
  • Experience in a leadership position within customer service, sales, or a sales environment
  • Project management knowledge/experience
  • Experience using Microsoft Office, i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Ability to travel 15 - 20% per business needs

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Familiarity with supply chain analytics and demand planning
  • Familiarity with standard logistics procedures and terms
  • Experience in the corrugated packaging industry
  • Experience in a fast paced, high volume manufacturing environment
  • Experience with data management systems/process flow
  • Voice of the Customer experience modeling
  • Experience with PLEX, SAP, JDE or other Enterprise Resource Planning systems

For this role, we anticipate paying $55,000 - $62,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
