SCHEDULE: 1.0 FTE (40 hours per week), SHIFT: Monday thru Friday, Days


POSITION SUMMARY:

Under general supervision, and according to general policies and procedures, the Critical Care Services Coordinator supports the Team Leaders by performing the following functions:

1. Maintain effective communication with customers, co-team leaders, and the management team.

2. Demonstrates effective problem-solving skills.

3. Prepares schedule for on-site operations.

4. Processes itemized supply reports and follows up to resolve any and all discrepancies

5. Acts as a lean team project coordinator as needed for various units within the hospital.

6. Works with management to compile department/corporate reports

7. Monitors work flow of information between several hospital processes.

8. Responsible for working with department managers in identifying areas for process improvement events

9. Coordinates each project/event phase and ensures that participants and stake holders have the tools and resources they need.

Qualifications


LICENSE/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum:

Preferred: Green or Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum: At least 2 years project management experience, with emphasis is lean management events

Preferred

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum: High school Diploma

Preferred: Bachelor degree in Business Management /Lean Project Management

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:

  • Communicates clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing.
  • Hands on capacity: champion implementation of process improvements/lean concepts for all areas of the hospital.
  • Customer Orientation - establishes and maintains long-term relationships, building trust and respect by consistently meeting and exceeding expectations.
  • Interpersonal skills - able to work effectively with other employees, patients and external parties.
  • P.C. skills – demonstrates advance proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and others as required.
  • Policies and Procedures – demonstrates knowledge and understanding of organizational policies, procedures and systems.
  • Basic skills – able to perform basic mathematical calculations, balance and reconcile figures, punctuate properly, spell correctly.
  • Problem solving skills – display the ability to assess processes and find resolution to issues identified.
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma is a must.
  • Ability to multi task essential
