Job Description
About the Role: POSITION SUMMARY
Analyzes credit data to estimate degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money to firms or individuals. Examines and evaluates commercial loan applications by performing the following duties.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Works directly with the loan officers on new loan requests, renewals, and ongoing portfolio management.
  • Assist in obtaining the financial exhibits to complete a loan package and verify for completeness.
  • Spread tax returns and financial statements and calculate performance ratios, i.e. income growth, margins, trends.
  • Thoroughly analyze tax returns and financial statements and evaluate credit worthiness to determine an applicant’s ability to repay loans and lines of credit.
  • Prepare annual reviews of borrowing relationships.
  • Obtain credit reports as needed on businesses and individuals.
  • Perform collateral due diligence by ordering and reviewing the following: UCC Searches, appraisals, evaluations, environmental reports, and flood determinations.
  • Prioritize to meet deadlines of the account officers.

About You: QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from four-year college or university; or Junior or Senior Level Accounting Major at a four-year college or university.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, ABILITY:
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.


Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes.
