The Commercial Credit Analyst will

  • Work directly with the Portfolio Management Team Leader, Portfolio Managers and Relationship Managers of the Sponsor Finance Group.
  • In partnership with the Portfolio Manager, assess the credit worthiness of commercial borrowers by identifying risks posed by the borrower’s industry, line of business, financial history and outlook, the economy, and the proposed loan structure, among other factors.
  • Review and spread borrower financial statements.
  • Complete supportive documents, including cash flow templates and risk rating models, for inclusion in approval and portfolio review packages.
  • Create approval and portfolio review documents, including writing summary analysis.
  • Test borrower covenant levels.
  • Work in a team environment and provides support as needed, which may include special projects.

Credit Competency:

The Commercial Credit Analyst will learn to demonstrate competency in the following areas:

  • Applying credit knowledge to provide targeted analysis and recommendations.
  • Identifying and underwriting primary and secondary sources of repayment.
  • Identifying and mitigating credit policy exceptions.

Product Knowledge:

The Commercial Credit Analyst will be expected to learn the attributes of commercial cross-sell products that may have credit exposure, including but not limited, to foreign exchange, commodities, interest rate derivatives, treasury management, and commercial cards.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or Economics with at least two courses in Accounting

Proficiency with MS Office Suite
