Cranberry Marsh Worker Grinder Operator

Hay Creek Pallet is seeking a cranberry marsh worker to lead in the production of high-quality cranberries. The primary job duties of this individual will play a valued and important role in this operation by providing direct support in the efficient production of raw cranberries through farm management and equipment maintenance, in addition to providing farming labor as necessary. In addition to working on the cranberry marsh, this individual will also assist in the scrap wood grinding operations at Hay Creek Road.

Primary Job Duties:

• Manage day-to-day activity of cranberry bogs and crop
• Manage the adequate growth and maintenance of the cranberry crop
• Ensure a high yield harvest of the cranberry crop
• Develop, apply and maintain a maintenance schedule of all farming equipment.
• Assist in maintaining the farm/blogs cleanliness and harvest potential.

Secondary Job Duties:

• Operate Forklift
• Unload and load trailers in the warehouse
• Help manage the warehouse for cleanliness, efficiency, and safety
• Learn the different operations and functions of the recycling division
• Operate heavy equipment to put the material in the grinder.
• Use a wheel loader to load trucks

• EDUCATION: High School or general education diploma (GED)
• EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of experience in farming and heavy equipment operator preferred. Certified in forklift operation
• PLANNING AND ORGANIZING: Able to monitor ongoing production and anticipate concerns. Can create contingency plans to ensure ongoing production. Execute assignments in an accurate, timely and safe manner.
• PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Able to work outside in all types of weather. Will be on feet for the majority of the workday. Able to lift 50# regularly and up to 100# on occasion.
• ADAPTABILITY: The individual will be flexible to changes in the work environment and is able to deal with frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events as they occur.
• Pass a pre-employment drug test.
• Must be dependable, responsible, hardworking, show up for work every day and get work done.
