Job Description

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Must meet the following minimum requirements

  • BA/BS degree or a combination of related education and work experience to equal at least for years
  • Must be able to demonstrate authorization to work in the United States at the University of Minnesota by the start date

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Innovative and enthusiastic – able to think outside the box
  • Experience transitioning to and maintaining digital ticketing
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines
  • HTML experience or desire to learn
  • Experience with Paciolan or similar ticketing system
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite of products
  • Strong interpersonal skills and customer service background
  • Ability to work non-standard hours, including nights and weekends
  • Experience supervising ticket operations for collegiate sporting events

POSITION TITLE: Coordinator - Operations

DEPARTMENT: Ticket Operations Department

REPORTS TO: Director of Ticket Operations

STATUS: Non-Exempt


POSITION SUMMARY (PURPOSE OF POSITION):
Provide overall support to ticket sales and service department, including, but not limited to: ticket sales, ticket operations, and business intelligence departments.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • (30%) - Responsible for the sale and distribution of season, group, individual, and complimentary tickets for events. Set up events and maintain seating manifests. Evaluate ticket pricing and revenue trends and make recommendations on pricing for future events. In conjunction with Director of Ticket Operations, implement and manage operations of athletics events as they pertain to ticket operations, including but not limited to:
    • Gymnastics
    • Soccer
    • Women’s Hockey
    • Special Events
  • (20%) – Supervise any part time staff and assist with scheduling of support staff for office duties and events
  • (20%) – Coordinate the day-to-day operations of the box office. Assist in answering inbound phone and email communications through general public channels of communications.
  • (10%) – Process data transfers between Paciolan and DMS to ensure accurate Gopher Score records are maintained
  • (10%) - Assist ticket operations department as backup to help manage ticket offices when needed and other duties as assigned
  • (5%) - Football Responsibilities – including, but not limited to:
    • Assist in football ticket sales/operations
  • (5%) – Verify eligibility for Season Ticket Holder Discounts – including, but not limited to:
    • M-Club
    • Young Alumni
    • Athletic Department Faculty & Staff

DESIRED OUTCOMES:

  • Drive efficiencies in all ticketing related departments as they regard to communication, production, and accuracy.
  • Write and communicate at a high level. Emails, letters and all other correspondence should be grammatically sound and free from errors
  • Represent the University of Minnesota in a positive manner both on and off duty
  • Bring a commitment to working effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds, in support of an inclusive and welcoming environment.

WORK SCHEDULE:

  • Monday-Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm
  • Special game day duties may require weekend work and/or evening scheduling
  • Away game travel may be required

Pay for this position is $32,000 - $36,000 depending on experience, plus overtime.
